Finding A Belly Fat Diet That Even Santa Would Love

Now that the holidays are arriving, many people once again have images of Santa Claus in their head. That image is generally of Santa with his fat belly, and Mrs. Claus always working to fatten him up in time for the holidays. While the image seems quaint, doctors suggest that embarking upon a belly fat diet as soon as possible can help save Santa from serious health issues down the road, as well as for many other people who have fattened up as well. What Santa and others who suffer from an oversized stomach don’t realize is that the fat stored in the belly contains dangerous toxins that can lead to diseases such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease and a host of other problems. However, there are many suitable belly fat diet options available that Santa can start right after the holidays, and all others can start right now.

A proper belly fat diet consists of making a choice of eating wholesome, unprocessed foods, a healthy daily amount of raw fruits and vegetables which contain essential vitamins and nutrients that help eliminate noxious toxins from the body, and at least 8 glasses of water per day, which helps to cleanse the body quickly of the toxins themselves. Before embarking on a belly fat diet, it’s a good idea to visit your primary health care provider and get a complete physical examination, in order to measure current percentage of fat within the body and to discuss with your doctor the proper belly fat diet plan to implement. While many infomercials and websites will guarantee quick loss, your doctor will likely recommend against it, as the safe standard for losing weight is 1-2 pounds per week. At first, most of the weight loss will actually come in the form of water, as fat tends to be a bit harder to lose and burn off. One pound of fat weighs 3,500 calories, and the body would need to burn off at least half that amount every day in order to lose more than 2 pounds per week, which is unlikely.

While the importance of eating heart healthy foods, raw fruits and vegetables, vitamin enriched foods and plenty of water are essential components to a belly fat diet, exercise and rest are also main components of that diet as well. While everyone may like a fat Santa Claus, fortunately he’s just a fictional character (sorry, kids!). For those of us who are living and breathing and suffering from a pot belly, getting rid of the extra fat now will ensure better overall long term health and maybe a chance to play act as Santa Claus using cotton for a big belly instead of the real thing. Nobody wants a sick Santa.
